Winona Peach Festival, August 22-24/08

Life's a peach in Winona this weekend. The Niagara Region event - Winona Peach Festival, August 22-24/08, opens tonight. I have fond memories of sweet times at the festival, now one of the top 50 in Ontario.

Festival highlights will include amusement rides, arts & crafts, commercial exhibits, live entertainment and peaches, peaches and more peaches.

Families will enjoy Peachland, the interactive children's area. The Niagara Fruit Education Centre will offer hands-on activities. The various learn-and-play stations - Plant a Peach, Grow a Peach, Harvest a Peach, Eat a Peach - sound peachy, don't they?

When: Friday, August 22, 5-11 pm; Saturday, August 23, 10am-11pm; Sunday, August 24, 10 am-6pm
