Thorold Volunteer Firefighters Street Dance tonight

firethorold1.jpg

Thorold may not have a lot of traditions, but the Street Dance is one that goes back decades. While it's current incarnation may be celebrating its 18th anniversary, my mother and grandmother have both regaled me with tales of their wild youth spent at the dances by the firehall.

The event kicks off at 7pm beside the firehall on Towpath, and admission is $5.00. Due to alcohol, only those over 19 will be admitted. Food and drink will be available, with funds going to raise money for local charities and community events and organizations. Now go find a firefighter and get your dance on!
