Thorold Street Dance Tonight, Aug 23

It's hard to grow up in Thorold without getting caught up in the excitement of the Thorold Volunteer Firefighters Street Dance. For longer than I can remember, the Thorold firefighters have been holding their street dance every August. Things kick off at 7pm at the Station 1 Firehouse on Towpath St, one block west of Front St. This years proceeds will go to benefit the Thorold Amateur Athletic Association, individual sports teams, the Thorold murals project and Community Care.

The event is expected to run until about 1am, and for the first time will only admit those 19 years of age or older. Food, firefighters, a musical act and a cold bar -- what's not to love? For more information, check out the events official Facebook page.
