Late last week we let you, our dear readers, know about the opening of a new comic book store on Queen St. in Niagara Falls. Now they're set to celebrate their grand opening, and they want help you become a superhero! How? By getting you to become a living donor.

Like any good superhero tale, Pulp Comics has a fascinating origin. Owner Paul Tappay was just a mild mannered individual, plugging away at his day job. But then disaster struck -- his father needed part of his liver. The transplant was a complete success, and Paul had saved his fathers life!

During his recovery period, Paul took some time to think about his future at the suggestion of his parents Agnes and Garry. Rather than returning to the life he'd known before, he wanted to make sure he had his life on the right track. With the help of the City of Niagara Falls, Paul put together a business plan and Pulp Comics was born.

The grand opening will be taking place on July 4th from 11am to 7pm, with costumed superheroes and even the mayor dropping by. The ribbon cutting ceremony will be taking place at 11:30am, and information will be available should you like to become informed about organ donation.

But let's not forget the best part about a grand opening -- the savings! Everything in the store will be 10% off, and all back issues will be buy one get one free.

So join Paul and other superheroes like him on Saturday, July 4th, 2009 for a day of celebration and savings in downtown Niagara Falls. Pulp Comics is located at 4413 Queen St, Niagara Falls. Visit them online at pulpcomics.ca.
