Looking to get out of the house this afternoon? Why not check out what some of your creatively-inclined neighbours have been up to?

The Niagara Indie Arts Casbah will be taking place this afternoon at the Market Square in Downtown St. Catharines. Things kick off at 10am with an artists marketplace that will be around until 4. Locally grown art prints, films, music, books and more will be available throughout the day, as well as a chance to meet their creators who will more often than not be operating their vendor table.

From 4pm to 5pm there will be a panel discussion featuring a number of local independent media entrepreneurs. At 8pm the final event of the evening will kick off with a concert by local performers Edwin Conroy Jr., Joe Lapinski, and Scott Warren of Bronx Cheerleader.

The musical portion of the evening will be a licensed event and require a $5 admission. The rest of the day is open to all ages and is free of charge.

This great event did NOT take place at the Market Square, but at the Niagara Artists' Centre, as indicated on the event poster and all other publications made by the Casbah organizers.

Misinformation like this lead potential Casbah-goers to believe the event was at the Farmers' Market and is greatly unappreciated by the organizers and promoters of this event.
