Grape & Wine Parade this Saturday

grapeparade.jpg

For those who live in the community, Grape & Wine is easily the biggest annual event in the St. Catharines area. This Saturday the final weekend will kick off with the 57th Annual Grande Parade, sponsored by the Pen Centre. The parade will take place in downtown St. Catharines and area streets will be closed beginning at 9:45am.

Grab a lawn chair, bring the kids, and enjoy the floats and marching bands of the 57th parade spectacular!

It would have been nice to have the Parade route posted somewhere. I have searched for an hour and cannot find a map of the route.

Please let me know where the parade is on 26 September. What streets are closed. We live on Gale Crescent and invited people from out of town to a 90th birthday celebration in the afternoon on that date. Do our guests have a problem getting here?

    Thank you.

This year's parade will be kicking off at 11am according to niagarawinefestival.com. It will begin at Welland Ave and James St, make it's way to St. Paul St, and finally end on Niagara. A complete map of the parade route can be viewed here. This is Downtown St. Catharines biggest event every year, so don't miss it!

Please post the 'alternate route' to the downtown from 8:00 am to the end of the parade. This would help for the downtown employees and our customers.

    Thank you.

On Sept 25 we (RCL Br 24) have a bus load of Legion members from Toronto coming to 111 Church Street at approx.12:00PM. What route should they take? There doesn't seem to be a map showing which streets will be open during the parade.
