Fireworks Safety in St. Catharines

It's Victoria Day weekend, and you know what that means; FIREWORKS!!

But while fireworks are pretty, they're also very very dangerous if not handled properly. That's why the city has a by-law about such things. Here's a couple of hints to keep your shed intact and the police from knocking at your door this holiday weekend;

a person 18 years of age or over must light the fireworks, or must supervise the lighting of fireworks
fireworks must not be set off in public locations such as parks or streets without written permission from the Fire Department
fireworks must not be used in a way that may cause damage to other people or property
