Hope for the best but plan for the worst. It's a motto that a lot of people have adopted when tackling individual situations in life, and it ensures you cover all of your bases adequately. But people who are just adopting this attitude about the next meeting with their boss are missing the forest for the trees. What about real life? Are you prepared in the case of a blizzard? A flood? The City of St. Catharines wants to make sure you're up to speed on what you'll need for 72 hours of survival.

The City and Fire Department have collaborated to present residents with the Personal Emergency Preparedness Guide. Available as a free download, the Guide will let you know what you'll need in case of an emergency and what local services are available in such situations. Click here to download the PDF.
