Eating green downtown: Pan Cafe

pancafe.jpg

While much of our city has "gone green," very few restaurants downtown can make such a claim. That's why Pan Cafe's all-natural attitude is such a breath of fresh air.

So what exactly does all-natural mean?;

Pan believes in supporting ethical practices around food production. We say all-natural because our produce is local and/or organic, meat and dairy is drug and hormone free and grain fed, eggs are free-range local, coffee is shade grown and bird-friendly, and take-out containers are biodegradable.

Located at 120 St. Paul St. in the heart of downtown St. Catharines, Pan is open from 8am-3pm Tuesday thru Saturday, serving breakfast, lunch and brunch exclusively. Sundays they are open slightly shorter hours (10am-3pm) and are closed on Monday. The restaurant is available for private parties in the evenings.

Contact owner Alexandra Hlinyanszky at (905)687-8704 or visit their website for more information.
