Last week the St. Catharines Museum at Lock 3 debuted their latest exhibit; Rock My Soul: The Black Legacy of Rock'n'Roll. The exhibit is the result of a joint collaboration between the St. Catharines Museum, The Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, and the Detroit Arts League.

From the Museum website;

"An exceptional show of paintings by African American artists tells the story of the African roots of rock and roll and the ongoing influence of Black culture. A journey from the Juju music of West Africa, to slavery work songs and spirituals, blues, jazz, gospel, r&b, soul, funk and hip hop. Plus surprise artifacts representing key rock stars."

The exhibit will be on display daily until August 29th, 2009. For more information about the St. Catharines Museum and it's events, visit their official website at stcatharineslock3museum.ca.
