Army of Darkness is out, 300 is in

Earlier this month we'd reported that the Empire After Dark screening to take place this Friday, June 26th would feature the Sam Raimi classic Army of Darkness. It looks like that has changed. Not too sure what prompted the switch, but the Friday you'll be treated to a big screen showing of 300 instead.

300's a great flick, but anyone who might want to go to an Empire After Dark screening could have easily seen this when it was in theaters 2 years ago. The real highlight of these screenings is seeing older films or obscure films that otherwise wouldn't play in St. Catharines. I don't know about you, but canceling Army of Darkness has really taken the wind out of my sails. I think I'll be giving this months screening a pass.
